The 2012 PPMA show saw the launch of the new Viper, combining the legendary Clarity interface with Thermal Inkjet technology.

The 8.4” touch screen controller and multiple low profile printhead options allow for quick installation into packaging lines and aid integration with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) machinery. In addition, with built-in web server functionality, the Viper permits menu navigation from the human machine interface (HMI) on a customer’s OEM packaging machinery – helping simplify processes and saving valuable time for operators.

The Viper has all of the flexibility and communication options customers have come to expect from ICE products, including serial, Ethernet and USB connectivity as standard, as well as a full range of communication protocols.

To coincide with the launch of the Viper, all ICE TTO and TIJ products now provide the option to allow job selection via a USB scanner. Linear or 2D codes may be used, allowing potential errors to be reduced to the lowest possible levels.

A full range of fluids and installation accessories are available from launch, to allow complete and functional integration into almost any type of packaging machinery. The inclusion of the clean, high resolution, high-speed, low print cost Viper into the product range continues the ICE tradition of providing innovative technology to achieve the lowest possible cost of ownership.
