Clearmark is currently looking for a Workshop Electrical Engineer to join their team.

About the role

The Role:

As a Workshop Electrical Engineer you will be responsible and accountable for:

  • Working in a safe manner, according to HS Guidelines
  • Building and wiring electrical control panels
  • Assembling conveyors
  • The electrical integration of the control panel into the systems
  • Cutting and preparing the in-house made items, using our workshop machinery
  • Assembling mechanical brackets to our in-house designed drawings
  • Keeping the area safe and tidy
  • Tidying / cleaning communal work areas on a flexible rota
  • Looking after tools and machinery provided by the company
  • Basic machine maintenance
  • Loading jobs onto our 3D printers and cleaning up printed parts
  • Carry out branding / packaging tasks
  • Will involve occasional collections from local suppliers, using the company van
The Candidate:

To be successful in your application for this Workshop Electrical Engineer role you will need:

  • A strong electrical background, experienced at wiring panels and diagnosing faults
  • 10 years electrical engineering experience
  • Previous experience in an engineering workshop environment
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment / under pressure
  • The ability to work to a deadline
  • Point-to-point wiring skills
  • The ability to read electrical schematics
  • To be able to read and understand a mechanical 3D model
  • Basic use of hand tools
  • Competence in using cutting machines
  • Competence at both hand and machine drilling / tapping
  • Excellent marking out skills (high accuracy required)
  • To be reliable and have a good attitude towards work
  • The ability to work individually and in a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous experience of using a lathe / milling machine is desirable
  • Good IT skills
    • Excel / Word / Online Project Planning Software / 3D Model Software / SAP Business One - Business Management Software
  • Punctual
  • A valid UK Driving Licence
